These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation.
Rev. 7:14

In the Olivet Discourse Jesus informed the disciples of coming tribulation, of great tribulation. Emphatically He affirmed that there would be a time of unparalleled trouble. And in the book of Revelation the apostle John makes reference to those who are martyred and come out of the great tribulation.

Throughout its history the Church has struggled with the precise time of the tribulation and with the specific nature of the tribulation. As with most theological topics the conclusions have been varied.
